A good idea is only the beginning. To grow into a successful project, it needs capital, experience, and the right contacts.

A space for ideas that want to grow

Investor Days are meetings where business ideas meet the world of investment. Startups and companies can present their projects to the professional public and investors, gaining not only financial support but also valuable feedback.

For many participants, it is also an opportunity to learn how to explain their project clearly—to precisely define its value, potential, and next development steps. It is often this ability that decides whether a good idea actually turns into a successful business.

Collaboration across the innovation ecosystem

We have already held several successful events created in cooperation with partners from the Czech innovation environment. These include the University of Hradec Králové, the Prague-based community Startup Kitchen, and the Pardubice business incubator P-PINK.

It is thanks to this cooperation that we are able to create a space where aspiring entrepreneurs, investors, technology experts, and people with years of experience in building companies can meet.

From Idea to Investment at the University of Hradec Králové

One of the prominent meetings was the Investor Day – From Idea to Investment, which took place in October 2025 at the Faculty of Informatics and Management of the University of Hradec Králové. The event, organized as part of the Small Business Week initiative, attracted around sixty participants—students, aspiring entrepreneurs, and those interested in the startup world.

The introduction featured inspiring stories from the Czech startup scene. Lukáš Král introduced the educational platform ForClassmates, Martin Kofroň described the journey of the MarrkoCore project from personal experience to an international patent, and Radim Horák explained the connection between technology, culture, and artificial intelligence using the example of the Kinobox.cz projects and Dramox.

Their presentations were followed by Petr Šedivý, MD, from Venture Club Invest, who introduced the participants to the principles of venture capital and shared his experience from investing in dozens of startups.

Elevator pitch: three minutes that can make a difference

The conclusion of the event belonged to the popular elevator pitch format. Short, dynamic presentations allowed startups and individuals to present their projects within a few minutes.

Projects presented to the audience included Re-Kiddo, which gives a second life to children’s clothing, the social enterprise DobroLádovna, the service concept for cyclists Kola Medikus, and the technology company CS Technologies, which develops Czech chatbots for businesses.

Investors and startups at P-PINK in Pardubice

Another Investor Day took place at the P-PINK business incubator in Pardubice. Startups presented their projects there before a jury composed of figures from the investment and technology sectors.

The evaluators included Pavel Pinkas from Luigi’s Box, Aleš Filipenský from Garage Angels, Michal Zálešák from Lighthouse Ventures, and Jiří Štěpán from Orchesty Solutions. Their feedback offered startups a realistic view of the investment readiness of their projects and their further growth potential.

Startup Spotlight at Startup Kitchen in Prague

The investor presentation format also appeared as part of the Truesday, event, which we co-organized with Startup Kitchen in Prague. In the Startup Spotlight block, eight startups were given space to present their projects in three minutes before a jury of experienced mentors from the Central and Eastern European technology environment.

Personal project presentations and direct contact with investors remain among the most important elements of a functioning startup ecosystem.

Meetings that move projects forward

Investor Days show that innovative entrepreneurship does not emerge in a vacuum. It needs community, shared experience, and open dialogue between entrepreneurs and investors.

It is precisely such meetings that give good ideas the chance to grow into projects that can succeed not only in the region but also on the international market.
