NOVO EXPO +innovation – a fair of science, technology, sustainability, and creativity that annually transforms the Castle in Nové Město nad Metují into a place where the past meets the future.
For us at Plus inovace, however, NOVO EXPO is not just another event in the calendar. It is a space where new stories of innovation begin. Stories of people, companies, schools, researchers, creatives, and students who have the desire to discover, create, try new things, and push their fields forward.
A story that begins once a year
Each edition of NOVO EXPO +innovation has its own unique atmosphere. It brings thousands of visitors to the historic premises of the castle, who come not only for the program but also for inspiration. They want to see what new things are being created in the Hradec Králové Region, which technologies are changing the world around us, and how science, creativity, and sustainability can work in practice.
Together with the organizing team from DoDna Party and a number of regional partners, we create an environment where ideas do not just meet on paper. Visitors can try them out, touch them, experience them, and understand them. That is precisely where the power of the entire fair lies for us – in the moment when a presentation becomes an experience and an experience becomes the first step toward further collaboration.

At NOVO EXPO +innovation, it is not just exhibitors and visitors who meet. It is a meeting point for worlds that might otherwise never cross paths. Technology with craftsmanship. Visitors can look forward to interactive exhibits, drones, virtual reality, laboratories, experiments, technological innovations, and showcases of traditional icons of the Czech creative industry.
The program includes educational competitions, thematic discussions, lectures, and original workshops. There are also manual workshops, 3D printing, gaming tournaments, and other activities that bridge entertainment with science and technology. And because innovation is not limited to laboratories and production halls, gastronomy also gets its space – from the tea of immortality to microgreens and edible cups to cricket snacks, astronaut food, or regional beer specials.
At first glance, it is a diverse program for all generations. In reality, however, it is much more. It is a living demonstration that innovation can be understandable, relatable, and accessible to everyone.
